The Extended Family

About the event

The Extended Family was the second supper club hosted in London this year by Mike’s Table, this time at the Refettorio Felix in Earl’s Court.

We were utterly delighted to see so many guests join us for our very first family friendly event. We welcomed 50 adults and 30 children who were delightful and lively company.

Our entertainer, Oli Weatherly, was very under the weather and sadly he couldn’t come along but he sent his love. Instead our amazing volunteer team improvised magnificently. We held a quiz that was taken very seriously by our young guests. Then Jess and Philippa took the kids up on the stage and played games that were great fun. At the end of the evening the kids asked if they could give us a performance and we were treated with a brilliant rendition of ‘A Million Dreams’ (from The Greatest Showman!)

It felt like a huge party and The Refettorio was the perfect space for it.

New Look

You may have noticed from the photographs that we tried out a new look and feel for Mike’s Table. All our guests seemed to love it!

Many thanks to Perq Studio - Laura and Nikki - for volunteering to help us grow but still keep the same spirit we started with. Watch this space!

How do your supper clubs work?

Our events are unique - not only do we create incredible dishes with food that would have otherwise gone to waste, we also ensure that for every paying guest, one ticket is given to a person who would benefit from a night out - for free.

We work through charities and organisations supporting people who are socially isolated for many reasons.

If you think you know someone who might benefit from a night out for free - apply here.
